Our childcare packages are
OFSTED REGISTERED
tailored to meet the specific requirements of your event in terms of duration, location and childrens ages, drawing on the extensive equipment and resources from our stocks. For better value for money we use experienced staff from our event crew based locally to your venue. Below are outline details of what we are experienced at offering to our clients. CRECHE FACILITIES for 2-9's
Based on our very popular package used extensively at major exhibitions and all sorts of events nationwide. Containing over ,10,000 worth of a wide range of exciting, interesting, colourful and educational equipment . Suitable on its own for 1 or 2 day meetings and events, augmented with additional activities for longer conferences.
BABY ROOMS 
We supply a special set of Mother and Baby equipment for babies. Not just a wide range of play toys but travel cots, changing tables, feeding equipment and all consumables. Our staff are experienced in working with the special requirements of babies and their parents.
KIDS CLUB ACTIVITY AREAS 9-16yrs
Kids of this age range do not want to be in a 'creche' and we usually cannot mix them with the younger ones anyway. Here we create a Youth Club type environment with appropriate games, activities, equipment and entertainment. They get TV's and Videos, Video games (playstation and Mega Drive) Snooker and Table Tennis. Board games, comics and magazines, construction systems, table football, artistic and creative projects etc. We also supply sports and outdoor equipment so space providing they can play football, uni-hock, outdoor games, fly kites etc etc. With walking visits to local parks, places of interest etc.
CHAPERONES FOR TEENAGERS
Sometimes its just not practical to keep the older ones in a secure area all day so we suggest our fun chaperones to accompany them on what they want to do. Be it visits to local places of interest, theme parks, McDonalds for lunch or often just a shopping trip into town. We can make sure they have a great time and give parents peace of mind knowing they are being kept an eye on and out of trouble.
OUT AND ABOUT 
We will arrange trips out, outings and outside activities for all age groups, individually or mixed. Our staff are experienced in accompanying groups on visits. Trips can be to local features, theme parks, zoo's, theatrs, shops, museums and cinemas amongst others. All guaranteed to keep them amused and safe.
FULL KIDS PROGRAMMES
On request we will bring together aspects of all our facilities and age group proposals to create a balanced, interesting and fulfilling multi day programme for delegates children, to run separately or alongside a partners programme.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES 
We have considerable experience of and can arrange any special activities or entertainments you may require.
PARTIES and SOCIAL FUNCTIONS When the parents are having their reception, dinner or parties we will organise a parallel event for the children. With great entertainment and activities, disco=s, party food to suit, room decoration and themeing as required.
BABYSITTING
At many conferences its not just during the day that there are sessions and functions. In the evenings delegates also have commitments, both business and social. We will arrange babysitters to look after the children in their hotel rooms. Where possible using the staff that have been with the children during the day.
CATERING 
We will advise on catering requirements if you use your own or the venue caterers. Alternatively we can arrange either full catering or supply simple fun lunch box meals for the kids.
PRE REGISTRATION 
Generally you will prefer to arrange the pre-registration of numbers using the creche or partaking in a kids programme. For this we will be pleased to assist with information for you to include in your registration documentation and sample forms for the information we will require in advance. On site we will arrange separate registration of the children into the facilities we are providing, including badging. If required we can handle all these aspects of pre registration for children with delegates contacting us direct via our website. This service attracts a small separate fee.
OVERSEAS
CHILDSPLAY operate anywhere and in any location and have experienced staff who will travel, providing chaperone services, entertainment, creche facilities, babyminding or a full conference programme. Recently we have been to Lapland and a 4 day event at Disneyland Paris.
SPECIAL NEEDS 
All of our staff have training in working with children with special needs. Many have specialist skills and training relating to specific special needs and we can arrange this specialist care if required. We have staff who have qualified in >signing= for children without hearing. Appropriate equipment is provided. We should be able to deal with any special requirements providing we have sufficient notice.
LANGUAGE
We are able to supply staff who speak most languages and have experience of special cultural requirements found in the UK and overseas.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Location/ Room sizes/Staffing levels  The law demands minimum space requirements for childcare. You should work on a minimum of 3sqm per child. This should be in an appropriate location within the venue, suitably safe, secure, well lit, ventilated and heated. Ideally children in the different age groups (as above) should not be mixed, so a series of smaller and preferably adjoining rooms is often more suitable. There should be toilets within a reasonable distance.
Thre are also minimum staffing levels for day care for children. We generally work on ratios of 1-2 for babies and toddlers, 1-5 for toddlers to 9 year olds and 1-8 for older kids. Unless there is just 1 child we are required to always have 2 staff for safety reasons. Children with special needs will generally require staffing of 1-2 or 1-1 according to their individual circumstances.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
CHILDSPLAY meet and exceed all current legislation for the care of children. ALL of our staff are fully qualified and experienced in this type of work with a minimum NNEB qualification in addition to other specialist qualifications, experience and skills. We have local authority registration and full public liability insurance for this type of facility . (A separate data sheet is available with our full health and safety specification SHEET 20)
